we've done very little with him since he ran here on February 15, he didn't even have a gallop. We tipped away with him on the beach for a couple of days and he was just floating around the gallop at home. We weren't going to run him and were going to keep him until next Thursday but looked at the pot of money and said we'd have a go. He's going great and is in great form. He has slipped down the handicap and I am not saying he is the horse he was, but has come back up and is capable here at this time of year. I bought him off the lads (previous owners Total Recall Racing Club) because they were going to put him in a claimer so it is great that myself and Stevie (Thorne, assistant trainer) have him. We have had a good bit of fun with him and when he is finished will be retired to a girl in England who brought him to us, and who will take him back. He has been a great horse.

we were contemplating whether to retire him before Christmas and we'll probably keep him going now and try him on the grass and he might come up here again. He has been some servant to me. Myself and Stephen (Thorne, assistant) bought him off the lads (Total Recall Racing Club) because we put them into a fresher horse and I didn't want a horse like him going into claimers. He deserves a good life when he is finished and will retired probably this year at some stage. Colin (Keane) rode him the last day and said to step him up to 1m4f. This came up quick but we just said we'd take a chance and he has a bit of fire left in his belly. He was wrong here a few runs ago and we couldn't find out what was wrong with him but definitely the last two runs he was very sweet and is well down in his rating. Form is temporary and class is permanent. He is a gorgeous horse to have, he's so quiet and lovely.

He's an unbelievable horse. Colin said he's so relaxed. We worked him up here during the week and he was very good. He's a dream horse to have and I'm delighted for the lads, the Total Recall Racing Club. They're very loyal owners and have been very very lucky. That's the first group race I've ever won, so I'll remember it. He's probably going to be finished for a while but if some of the middle east races open up later on the year he'll head out to one of those places - Dubai or he could go to Bahrain or Doha if we can get an invitation. I'm thrilled to bits. I'm lucky to have two or three very nice horses and that's what it's all about. When you get those type of horses you can go an awful lot more places. I know what it's like coming down here with 47-65 horses. I'm 18 years at it now and we've been lucky to get good owners in. I owe a lot to the late Bart O'Sullivan, who passed away last year, as he introduced me to a lot of new owners from England and we've really prospered. The Total Recall lads have been with me since I started and we've had 36 or 37 winners. We had Beau Michael, Beau Warrior, Beau Satchel, winners at Galway, and I'm blessed to have them.

he’s 6lb better lighter on the grass and we always felt there was a big pot in him. He’s a very high class horse and I’d say his handicap days are over now. Our original plan was to run in the Lincoln at the start of the year and then go for the Royal Hunt Cup but I’ll settle for this! . He’ll go for Listed and Group races now and is in the Alleged Stakes. The guys have had a lot of fun with this horse and we’ll just keep rocking. It’s going to be hard when you step up another level but he’s well capable of doing it.

He's a really nice horse,. We castrated him, he was really laid back but we just felt that he was getting on and we felt we needed to take them out. They were huge and I don't even know how he was able to gallop with them!. With the bits of work he'd been doing at home we knew he'd turned inside out. I didn't think he'd run to a mark of 101 tonight but out there it looked like he did. He's a better horse on the all-weather. There is a Listed race in the south of France in four or five weeks time and we might venture out there or look for something in England. He could be a horse for the finals day at Lingfield but the only thing is that he likes a big long straight. He's a big horse with a round action and this straight here suits him really well. He held the other horse well. The boys have been with me a long time. They've been very lucky and I only wish every other owner with me was as lucky as they are.
