Permission was given for Outrun The Storm (IRE) to go early to post.

The Stewards wished to hold an enquiry into the use of the whip by Marco Ghiani, the rider of Lord Rapscallion (IRE), placed second, but were unable to do so as Ghiani had left the course.

They adjourned their enquiry to Epsom on Tuesday 30 August 2022.

Shortly after the start, Bowman (IRE), placed fifth, ducked right causing the rider of Evocative Spark (IRE), unplaced, to take a slight check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Bowman (IRE).

Approximately ½ furlong out, Lord Rapscallion (IRE), placed second and Wodeton (FR), placed third, rolled down the camber causing Evocative Spark (IRE), unplaced, to become short of room but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing’s of Lord Rapscallion (IRE) and Wodeton (FR).

On three separate occasions inside the final 2 furlongs, the winner Larado (FR) hung badly left-handed despite the rider’s best efforts, which resulted in Bowman (IRE), placed fifth, being slightly hampered on each occasion but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Larado (FR).
