The left cheekpiece of Birkie Girl (GB), placed sixth, became detached shortly after the start.
The cheekpiece was inspected after the race, and as it was found to be in a serviceable condition, no further action was taken.
In the straight, Aurelia Gold (GB), placed fifth, became tight for room when awkwardly placed between the winner, AWAY WIT DA FAIRIES (IRE), and Salonica (GB), placed second, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of AWAY WIT DA FAIRIES (IRE) or Salonica (GB).
The performance of Cicely (IRE), which finished unplaced, was considered.
Sylvester Kirk’s explanation that the filly was unsuited by the sharp nature of the track was noted.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Lethal Touch (GB), unplaced, lost its action and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the filly failed to reveal any abnormalities.
