Permission was given for Moe's Legacy (GB) to wear a red hood to post and for Zachary (GB) to go early to post.
Zachary (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Fiddler's Elbow (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Rossa Ryan, the winner, Moe's Legacy (GB), ridden by Finley Marsh, and Zachary (GB), placed second, ridden by Oisin Murphy.
The interference was found to be accidental as Fiddler's Elbow (GB) stepped quickly right-handed taking Moe's Legacy (GB) marginally off its intended line resulting in Zachary (GB) to be briefly tight for room.
Approaching the cutaway, Himawari (GB), placed fourth, ran onto the heels of Salaamaat (GB), placed third, causing it to clip heels and stumble, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Moe's Legacy (GB) stepped quickly left-handed at the same time as Fiddler's Elbow (GB), placed fifth, rolled sharply right-handed resulting in both runners making contact and becoming unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Moe's Legacy (GB).
Following the race, Conrad Allen reported that Edergole's Gift (IRE), unplaced, lost a left-fore shoe.
