Permission was given for Symbol of Hope (GB) to go early to post and be mounted in the chute.
Leaving the stalls, Delagate This Lord (GB), placed fourth, jumped left-handed at the same time as Heartrate (IRE), placed fifth, jumped slightly right-handed causing Sovereign Slipper (GB), unplaced, to be awkwardly placed and slowly in to stride, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of either Delagate This Lord (GB) or Heartrate (IRE).
Following the race, Trevor Whelan reported that Sovereign Slipper (GB), unplaced, was hampered leaving the stalls and Sean Dylan Bowen reported that Heartrate (IRE), placed fifth, jumped awkwardly from the stalls.
