The Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after the start of this race involving Coeur Blimey, ridden by Mr B. O'Neill, Grotesque (GB), ridden by Ms N. Carberry, and Aspen Colorado, ridden by Miss S. O'Brien, where it appeared Grotesque (GB) suffered interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. The Stewards interviewed Ms K. Walsh, rider of Blow By Blow, winner, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Ms K. Walsh was in breach of Regulation 10 3 (f) in that she had used her whip with excessive frequency, and having taken her record into account, they suspended her for 1 raceday.
