Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
The Starter reported that Mesmeric (GER) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 2:43pm.
John Wainwright was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Following the race, Richard Kingscote reported that Sha La La La Lee (GB), which started second-favourite and finished sixth, was never travelling.
