Permission was given for ALPHINE GIRL (IRE) to go early to post and to be mounted on course and for Inanna (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The Starter reported that Elusive Angel (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
Harry Eustace was informed that the filly could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Zina Colada (GB), ridden by Benoit de la Sayette and Inanna (IRE), placed second, ridden by Robert Havlin.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Zina Colada (GB)’s placing as despite Inanna (IRE) being carried left off its intended line, the filly had lost minimal momentum as a result, with Zina Colada (GB) extending and going away to win by a neck at the line.
De la Sayette was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to continue to drift left-handed without timely correction, carrying Inanna (IRE) off its intended line.
The performance of Elusive Angel (IRE) which started second favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Harry Eustace could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance.
Elusive Angel (IRE) was routine tested.
