Permission was given for Kape Moss (GB) to wear a red hood to the start and for Pablo Del Pueblo (IRE) to be mounted in the chute, go early, and be led to post wearing a red hood.
The performance of Dig Two (IRE), which started second-favourite and finished unplaced, beaten by 12¾ lengths, was considered.
Ollie Sangster’s explanation that the gelding jumped both the road crossings and was never travelling on the Soft, Good to Soft in places ground on this occasion and would prefer a faster surface, was noted.
Dig Two (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Angle Land (GB), placed sixth, lost its right-hind shoe.
