Permission was given for Clarence C (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving the winner, My Mate Ted (IRE), ridden by Jim Crowley, Clarence C (IRE) placed sixth, ridden by Cieren Fallon and Odisseo (GB), placed fifth ridden by Neil Callan.
The interference was found to be accidental as My Mate Ted (IRE) had drifted slightly right handed as a free running Clarence C (IRE) had over raced into a gap between My Mate Ted (IRE) and Odisseo (GB), which resulted in Odisseo (GB) becoming tight for room against the rail and Clarence C (IRE) having to take a check.
The winner My Mate Ted (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Haydock on the 6th August 2022, where the colt finished eighth of ten, beaten 6 lengths.
Roger Teal representative’s explanation that this was the colt’s first run on the all-weather track which suited the colt as it has a tendency to prefer a softer surface.
My Mate Ted (IRE) was routine tested.
