Secret Beri (GB), which was later pulled up, jumped left over the first fence hampering Badness Backfires (IRE), placed third, and badly inconveniencing Mawlood (IRE), placed seventh, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Sam Twiston-Davies reported that Rostello (FR), placed sixth, made a significant jumping error at the third fence.
Jonjo O’Neill Jr reported that Tidal Watch (IRE), unplaced, made several jumping errors.
Michael Nolan reported that Postman (FR), placed fourth, slipped on the bend after the winning post going out for the final circuit and Charlie Hammond reported that Secret Beri (GB) jumped left and hung left throughout.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Pardon Me (GB), placed eighth, lost both of its front shoes and Eclat Des Mottes (FR), unplaced, lost its left fore shoe.
