Philip McBride could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance other than it appeared to be unsuited by the Good, Good to Soft in places going, which was riding particularly soft in their opinion and was subsequently changed to Good to Soft after the race.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Speriamo (GB) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
