I couldn't believe her jumping was so good. She jumped a bit better at home during the week but she jumped so well today I couldn't believe it. She was disappointing over two miles so we said we'd try her over three miles. She didn't win a point-to-point but showed enough to encourage me to run her in a bumper.

The Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of Tooreen, trained by Robert Tyner, placed, first compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that the horse disappointed on her last few runs over two miles, when jumping poorly. He added that today's change in tactics by racing more prominently seemed to help his charge jump better. He concluded by saying that the step up to three miles also had a positive effect . Evidence was also heard from Mr. Andrew Shaw, Turf Club National Hunt Handicapper. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanations offered.
