Permission was given for Haaf A Diamond (GB) to go early to post.
The winner, Haaf A Diamond (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Nottingham on 4 June 2023 where the filly finished fifth of nine runners, beaten by 7 ¾ lengths on ground described as Good to Firm.
Kevin Frost’s explanation that the filly benefited from the slightly slower ground on this occasion and being ridden more positively was noted.
Following the race, Dougie Costello reported that Daisy Roots (GB), placed fifth, hung right-handed and Callum Shepherd reported that Wamalama (IRE), unplaced, lost its action approximately one furlong out.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
