An enquiry was held into the deployment of a chequered flag in the back straight on the final circuit.
Aaron Anderson, the rider of Sight Nor Seen (IRE), which was pulled up, Craig Nichol, the rider of Master Of The Malt (GB), placed third, and the Clerk of the Course were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
Having heard their evidence, the Stewards noted their explanations and forwarded a report to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Hilnamix (FR), which was pulled up, was lame on its left hind.
