Permission was given for MOE’S LEGACY to go early wearing a red hood to the start; and for Outer Edge (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
Inside the final furlong the winner, Outer Edge (GB), hung left-handed despite its rider’s best effort to correct the gelding, intimidating Lochaber (GB), placed second, off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Outer Edge (GB).
Following the race, Joey Haynes reported that MOE’S LEGACY, placed fifth, hung left-handed.
Oliver Searle reported that Johnny Johnson (GB), unplaced, jumped awkwardly from the stalls.
