The performance of Discomatic (IRE), which started favourite and finished fifth, was considered.
It was noted that the representative of Andrew Balding could offer no explanation for the colt’s performance other than a report from the rider that Discomatic (IRE) ran flat on this occasion.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the colt, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Harrison Shaw reported that Bright Apparition (GB), placed sixth, was never travelling.
