The Stewards interviewed J.B. Kane, rider of Biddy The Boss, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Reg.10.3.(g)(frequency) and having taken his record into account, pursuant to Reg.10.6(a) imposed a six day suspension.
An extended handicap steeplechase for four years old and upwards (116 = 11st 10lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall not be less than 11st 10lbs
Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each steeplechase won.
