Top weight Profound Beauty (13/2 to 9/2)provided Dermot Weld with his first winner at his local track in almost a year when hacking up in this 1m4f handicap.
Profound Beauty had been placed on her two previous outings in Group races and certainly was not winning out of turn, scoring for only the second time having previously won a maiden at Naas.
The Last Hurrah ran an honest race to take second from long time leader Vincenzio Galilei while recent Limerick winner Dand Nee also performed well off her revised mark.
The hat-trick seeking Lethal Weapon (2Lb out of handicap) has not looked the most straightforward in the past, but ran on quite well from the rear to finish fifth and should be competitive again in handicaps.
Eagles Pass finished well and should be a force in similar handicaps over the coming months.
Lonesome Maverick (20/1 to 12/1) came in for sustained support, but never showed with a chance.
Non-runner was Majestic Eviction in season.
