Upon jumping the first fence, Valadom (FR), placed fifth, jumped sharply left-handed, crowding Tea Time On Mars (GB), placed third, and slightly interfering with the winner, La Cavsa Nostra (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
At the first fence, Cuban Pete (IRE), placed fourth, jumped slightly right-handed across Allardyce (GB), placed sixth, slightly hampering the latter, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Cuban Pete (IRE).
