An average maiden for the track, run at a decent pace. Two once-raced colts fought out the finish, Takween and Almolahek. Both have obviously wintered well, but the race lacked strength in depth and the form may not be very strong.
King Of Westphalia boasted the highest official rating, and while he is not a horse to trust he came home well having raced well off the pace. No doubt Aidan O'Brien will manage to get a winning bracket for him, but it is becoming doubtful if that will occur in a maiden.
Galiyan did not improve as much as might have been expected from his initial outing, but he is going the right way.
Kaprun appeared to have a chance on his previous fifth at Leopardstown, but failed to run to form.
Double Parked was reluctant to go to post, but nevertheless improved on his debut effort and is worth noting.
Non-runners Ballivor refused to Load and Kiriak injured in transit.
