He was lucky he wasn't brought down and he'd have won easily, . He (Liam Quinlan) said another horse came straight across him. The way he was hampered he was very lucky he wasn't brought down and it is seldom a horse is blocked and will pick up again. In fairness Liam didn't panic and gave him a good ride. We ran him back quick in a bumper to see would we go the bumper route and we'll now either run him in a Listed bumper or a maiden hurdle. He has loads of foot and only for his speed he wouldn't have gotten out of trouble today. He loves soft ground, the softer the better and is not ground dependant in any circumstance. He is out of Presenting mare who was out of a Supreme Leader mare so isn't ground dependant. John Patrick Ryan, trainer
The Stewards enquired into the conduct of L. Quinlan, rider of The Little Yank, placed first, towards another rider after passing the winning post. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned and footage of the incident was also viewed. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that L. Quinlan was in breach of Rule 272(i) in that he had verbally or by conduct or behaviour, acted in a manner which is prejudicial to the integrity, proper conduct or good reputation of horseracing. Having taken his clean record in this regard into account, the Stewards fined L. Quinlan €250
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Bois De Clamart (FR), ridden by Mr F. Maguire, placed sixth, The Little Yank, ridden by L. Quinlan, placed first, Fortune Street (FR), ridden by K. Brogan, placed third and Four Country Roads, ridden by C.P. McNamara, placed fourth, where it appeared that interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. They did, however, find C. P. McNamara in breach of rule 214 (careless riding) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 3 racedays. Furthermore, the Stewards found that K. P. Brogan was in breach of rule 214(careless riding) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 3 racedays
