Bryan Smart had obtained prior permission from the BHA to run Antagonize (GB) partially shod.
Further permission was given for the gelding to go early to post and to be mounted in the chute.
The performance of Outrun The Storm (IRE), which started favourite and finished eighth of ten runners was considered.
The representative of Richard Fahey’s explanation that the gelding was unsuited by the track on this occasion, was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post race examination of Outrun The Storm (IRE), during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Cam Hardie reported that Merry Secret (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
Sean Kirrane reported that BARNEY’S BAY, unplaced, hung left-handed rounding the bend causing the gelding to lose several places.
