Permission was given for The Bull (IRE) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries which was removed at the start and for Treasured Company (IRE) to go to post early.
The winner Phantasmal (GB) appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Ayr on 24 August 2020, where the gelding finished tenth of eleven beaten 10½ lengths.
It was noted that Iain Jardine could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Phantasmal (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Jack Garritty reported that Outtake (GB), placed eighth, hung left in the home straight.
The Veterinary Officer reported that The Bull (IRE), unplaced, lost its left hind shoe.
