He has had problems all along and his owner has been patient with him. The Stewards fined E. McNamara, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Irish Bulletin, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. R.C. Colgan, rider of Ballycahane trained by A.L.T.Moore, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up having never travelled from flagfall. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Ballycahane, trained by A.L.T.Moore, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. J.J. Burke, rider of Scamall Dubh trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up after jumping errors.
