Permission was given for Point In Time (IRE) to go early to post.
The winner Aquascape (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Goodwood on 31 July 2020 where the gelding finished seventh of nine, beaten by 18 ¼ lengths.
The representative of Harry Dunlop’s explanation that Aquascape (IRE) appreciated the combination of a step up in trip from 1 mile and 3 furlongs to 1 mile and 4 furlongs as well as a drop in class and may have benefitted from the tapeta surface on this occasion, was noted.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Callum Shepherd reported that Unit of Assessment (IRE), placed third, was denied a clear run turning into the home straight.
Stevie Donohoe reported that Point In Time (IRE), placed seventh, moved poorly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the mare failed to reveal any abnormalities.
