An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the final bend involving Tommy The Rascal (GB), placed third, ridden by Ross Chapman, the winner, Cheque En Blanc (FR), ridden by Jamie Moore, and Dylanseoghan (IRE), placed second, ridden by Page Fuller.
The interference was found to be accidental as Dylanseoghan (IRE) and Tommy The Rascal (GB) had edged left-handed rounding the bend, the line of which had been made more acute by the field having had to bypass the previous fence putting them onto the hurdles track.
At the same time, Moore had gone for a tight but legitimate gap up the rail, and became momentarily short of room.
The performance of Big Meadow, which started favourite and was pulled up, was considered.
Neil King's explanation that the gelding ran flat was noted.
Following the race, Bryony Frost reported that Big Meadow had made a bad mistake and was never travelling thereafter.
