Permission was given for Pearly Gaits (GB) to be mounted in the chute, to go early to post and to wear a red hood to the start.
The winner, All In The Hips (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Southwell on 4 April 2023 where the filly finished seventh of eight runners, beaten by 10 ¼ lengths.
The representative of David Evans explained that All In The Hips (IRE) had appreciated the Soft, Heavy in places going on this occasion in addition to being ridden more patiently.
Their explanation was noted and the filly was routine tested.
Following the race, Dougie Costello reported that he lost an iron on American Rose (GB), placed third, when leaving the stalls which he was able to regain shortly after.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Boom Boom Pow (GB), placed fifth, lost its right-hind shoe.
