Leaving the stalls, Love Of Zoffany (IRE), placed third, jumped right-handed at the same time as the winner, Largo Bay (USA), jumped left-handed, resulting in Dream Chaser (FR), placed fifth, and Fast Moon (IRE), which was later pulled up, being briefly hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Largo Bay (USA) or Love Of Zoffany (IRE).
On the bend leaving the back straight approximately 4 furlongs out, Dream Chaser (FR), placed fifth, was carried badly right-handed by Fast Moon (IRE), which was in the process of being pulled up after sustaining an injury, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Jane Elliott reported that Falcon Brook (GB), placed fourth, hung left-handed.
