An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs out when the winner, Caradoc (IRE), ridden by Oisin Murphy, interfered with Allegiant (USA), placed third, ridden by Jason Watson.
Murphy was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift marginally right-handed without sufficient correction, causing Watson to have to switch around heels.
Following the race, Stevie Donohoe reported that Highbrow (GB), unplaced, moved poorly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
