- Stewards Report
The Stewards held an enquiry following a report from the Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer that the representative of lan Williams, had presented PADDY THE CHEF (IRE) at the racecourse stables in place of WOLFCATCHER (IRE) when the runners were being scanned out of the stables for Race 3. They interviewed the Veterinary Officer, the Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer and the trainer's representative. Having heard their evidence, the Stewards noted that the mistake had been accidental in that the horses were mis-identified in the rush to get WOLFCATCHER (IRE) saddled, and that when recognised WOLFCATCHER (IRE) was then saddled and correctly presented for the race.
