On the final bend, Bonds Conquest (GB), placed fourth, was taken wide when Monet Moor (GB), placed sixth, was hanging right-handed.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line when the winner, Goring One (IRE), ridden by Rex Dingle, interfered with Big Time Frank (IRE), placed second, ridden by Lorcan Williams.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Goring One (IRE) as the gelding was coming from behind at the time of interference and had beaten Big Time Frank (IRE) by a comfortable neck, Williams had never had to stop riding and Big Time Frank (IRE) had lost little to no momentum despite receiving a bump from the winner.
The interference was found to be accidental as Goring One (IRE) had shifted quickly left-handed approaching the bend in the rail.
Following the race, Alexander Thorne reported that Monet Moor (GB), placed third, hung right-handed throughout.
