Permission was given for Darkened Edge (GB) to wear a red hood to post.

The Veterinary Officer reported that Lil Wade (IRE), trained by Scott Dixon, was not available for a mandatory identification check prior to the 45-minute deadline and was therefore withdrawn by the Stewards.

The Stewards attempted to contact Dixon on multiple occasions with no success and therefore fined Dixon £140 in absence.

Approximately ½ furlong out, the winner, Darkened Edge (GB), stepped left-handed as its rider changed their whip hand resulting in Wedgewood (GB), placed third, becoming momentarily unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Darkened Edge (GB).

Following the race, Jack Doughty reported that Under Curfew (GB), placed second, jumped awkwardly from the stalls.
