Permission was given for Universal Effect (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
The Starter reported that Fleeting Freedom (GB) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn.
Alan Bailey was informed that the mare could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Fleeting Freedom (GB) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the mare would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
The winner Trulee Scrumptious (GB) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 19 July 2019 where the mare finished sixth of the seven runners, beaten by 15 ¼ lengths.
Peter Charalambous’s explanation that the mare appreciated the drop back in trip from 1 mile and 2 furlongs to 1 mile on this occasion and appreciated the front running tactics today after having been dropped in last time out, was noted.
Trulee Scrumptious (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Cieren Fallon reported that Song of The Isles (IRE), which started favourite and finished fourth, was never travelling and George Wood reported that Plissken (GB), placed eighth, was slowly away.
