The Stewards enquired into an incident after the turn into the straight involving Well Done Me, ridden by C.T. Keane, unplaced and Queenlet, ridden by T.P. Madden, unplaced. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Mr. N.P. Madden, trainer, who accompanied T.P.Madden in the Stewards room. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was accidental and took no further action. The Stewards informed J.T.Gorman, trainer that Broadfield Puddle, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again.
An extended handicap for two yrs old only (75 = 9st 10lb)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra for each race won Any horse rated above 75 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 9st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 75 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse.
