The performance of Methag (FR), which started favourite and was pulled up, was considered.
Alex Hales could offer no further explanation for the mare’s performance other than a report from Kielan Woods that Methag (FR) was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Methag (FR) found the mare to have excessive nasal discharge and to have lost its right fore shoe.
