The Stewards requested a report from D. K. Weld, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Zafayan, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Pat O'Brien, authorised representative, reported that this horse was coming back significantly in trip today and was back in blinkers having had a spell wearing visors. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report. Miss Amanda Mooney, trainer of Repeater (GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge never travelled on the ground and was found to have been struck into on its near fore leg post race.
