- Stewards Report
Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line when the winner, Generation Gap (IRE), ridden by Jonjo O’Neill Jr, interfered with Delight Of Dubai (IRE), placed second, ridden by Robert Dunne.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Generation Gap (IRE)’s placing as the gelding always appeared to be holding Delight Of Dubai (IRE) and the filly lost no ground as a result of the interference, with a short head between them at the line.
O’Neill Jr was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to edge left without timely correction, slightly bumping Delight Of Dubai (IRE) causing the filly to become marginally unbalanced.
Following the race, Micheal Nolan reported that Pointed And Sharp (IRE), placed third, ran too free in the early stages.
