Permission was given for Wath Court (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Inside the final furlong Andrew Mullen, the rider of Star Start (IRE), unplaced, struck Wath Court (GB), across the nose with his whip but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was considered to be accidental.
Inside the 2-furlong marker, Sonning (IRE), placed third, drifted marginally right-handed away from Golden Melody (IRE), placed second, at the same time as Wath Court (GB), unplaced, shifted slightly left-handed away from Star Start (IRE), unplaced, causing the rider of Bearwith (GB), placed fourth, to take a check when short for room.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sonning (IRE) or Golden Melody (IRE).
Following the race, Cam Hardie reported that Bearwith (GB), placed fourth, was denied a clear run inside the final two furlongs and Alex Jary reported that the saddle slipped on Wath Court (GB), unplaced.
