Review wexford 17th Mar
Ruby Walsh stole the show at Wexford with four winners, including on Fiveforthree who could hardly have been more impressive in the Richard Browne And Sons Ltd Hurdle.
Not seen since finishing second at the Punchestown Festival 11 months ago, the Willie Mullins inmate was taking a marked drop in class and the result was never in doubt.
Walsh sent the 4-9 favourite into a share of the lead with a circuit to go and he turned the screw on his rivals approaching the second-last, ultimately winning by seven lengths from Splurge
Mullins and Walsh also successfully combined with Tawaagg in the Curracloe Maiden Hurdle.
Never far off the pace, the 4-11 favourite took it up around the final bend and after putting in a good leap at the last, he coasted home four lengths clear of Bangonform
Walsh was at his strongest when driving Holly Tree to victory in the Michael O'Murchadha Memorial Chase.< Steel Band appeared to be going much the best when taking up the running approaching the second-last, but Walsh galvanised the 9-4 winner, who ranged upsides at the final fence and ran on to score by two and a half lengths.< Monte Cinto (2-1) capped a fantastic day for the jockey, moving smoothly throughout before beating Dulgodti Bob by three-quarters of a length in the Pinnacle Novice Handicap Chase.
Jessica Harrington's No One Tells Me (5-4) also made no mistake in the New Ross Maiden Hurdle under Robbie Power, while Askwith (8-1) drew clear on the turn for home for Tom Doyle and never looked back in the Saltees Island Novice Handicap Hurdle.< One Cool Cookie (5-2) returned to winning ways in the Guinness Chase at Down Royal.
Charlie Swan's charge was conceding weight all round but he travelled well under Davy Russell and proved a length and a half too good for Selection Box with favourite Arbor Supreme third.
