< Sir Isaac Newton made it third-time lucky with a dominant performance in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Gowran Park.
Ballydoyle's 3.6m guineas colt had suffered defeat as an odds-on favourite on both previous appearances but supporters kept the faith and he was sent off at 4-6.
He took up the running over a furlong out and although he still looks far from the finished article, appearing a bit green when asked to stretch, his class shone through and he proved three and a quarter lengths too strong for Stop And Linger < Roca Rojo made it two from two in the Ladies Day June 20th Fillies Race.
Ado McGuinness' daughter of Strategic Prince was the even-money market leader after romping home on her Killarney debut, and she showed a taking turn of foot in quicker conditions to mow down Shahzeena and Urbestchance beating the former by two and a half lengths.< Ringside Humour finished down the field at the Curragh last weekend but showed no ill effects from those exertions to land the Summer Festival Weekend June 20th & 21st Rated Race.
Jim Bolger's 11-4 shot settled last of the four runners but Kevin Manning drove her through a gap against the rails at the top of the straight and she showed a good attitude to inflict a length-and-three-quarter defeat on Seaforth < Ducky Mallon (6-1) made what turned out to be a winning move a furlong and a half from the finish in the Gowran Park Golf Club Handicap and it proved decisive, although he was all out to hold Sofi's Spirit as the line came just in time.
Jockey Pat Smullen followed up when Laviniad (7-2 joint-favourite) came out on top in the Gowran Park Handicap, while 11-2 chance Naughty But Nice won the Kilkenny Handicap in the hands of Fran Berry.
