Review curragh 3rd Jun
< Viscount Nelson put a disappointing seasonal debut run at Sandown well behind him with a superb performance in the feature race at the Curragh.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained four-year-old ran well in top-class company last season and was sent off the 4-5 favourite for the Donate To KARE at kare.ie Silver Stakes.
Colm O'Donoghue oozed confidence as he tracked Bob Le Beau all the way and when he took the brakes off deep into the final furlong, Viscount Nelson sprinted clear to win by three and a half lengths.
It completed a double for the jockey, who made the most of a high draw to grab a nice rails position on Vault (7-2) in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
The Ballydoyle juvenile beat off favourite Dragon Pulse in the final furlong to score by a head.< Clare Glen (11-2) put up an eyecatching performance to land a nice prize for trainer Sarah Dawson in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap.
The mare was sent to the front early on by Ben Curtis and she had plenty left when tackled in the straight, stretching away in the end to win by five and a half lengths.
The Ken Condon-trained Coprah (8-1) picked up his first victory at the third time of asking when comfortably landing the D & M Trucks Supporting KARE Maiden.
Billy Lee produced the gelding down the outside in the final furlong and he was well on top in the end as he beat the two fancied runners Tashqeel and Vastitas by a length and a half and a neck.
Lee landed a second winner on the card when extricating Andrew Oliver's Terminal Velocity (33-1) from a pocket a furlong out in the Winders Electrical Supporting KARE Maiden before charging home to win by a length and a half.
