< Harzand (4-6) produced a gutsy display to become a dual Derby hero in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh.
Pat Smullen was happy to let pacemaker Ebediyin lead the field along, and the jockey oozed confidence as he took up the running two furlongs out.< Idaho and Ryan Moore laid down a huge challenge at the furlong pole, but the Epsom Derby hero found more close home to land his second Classic by half a length.< Medicine Jack battled to a brave success in the Group Two GAIN Railway Stakes.
Ger Lyons' 6-1 chance was settled in midfield by Colin Keane and burst into contention well over a furlong out.
Favourite Peace Envoy appeared to have the benefit of the rail as he made his bid for glory, but Medicine Jack ran on well in the closing stages to win by half a length.< Sruthan finished with a flourish to land the Listed Dubai Duty Free Millenium Millionaire Celebration Stakes.
Last year's winner Sovereign Debt had appeared to take control of the race with a furlong to run, but Colm O'Donoghue produced Paul Deegan's 10-1 chance in the dying strides to win by three-quarters of a length.
Deegan grabbed a double when Chris Hayes guided Papa's Way (20-1) to victory in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship EBF Handicap.< Intelligence Cross built on a promising debut to land the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise EBF Maiden.
Aidan O'Brien's 10-11 favourite was always to the fore under Ryan Moore and stretched clear close home, beating Khukri by a length and a half.
Michael Halford's Toscanini (4-1) held off Flight Risk to land the Dubai Duty Free Jumeirah Creekside Dash Stakes under Shane Foley.
Gavin Cromwell's Breathe Easy (13-2) ran out a convincing winner of the Paddy Power Handicap under Wayne Lordan.
