Paul Townend put up an amazing rodeo-style performance to grab victory from the jaws of defeat on hot favourite Sweet My Lord in the Buttevant Maiden Hurdle at Cork.
The Willie Mullins-trained 4-6 shot was lobbing along nicely in front when he made a hash of the third-last and all but fell, pitching Townend around his neck.
The young rider never regained his irons, but kept his composure and Sweet My Lord went after new leaders Northern Rocker and Headly's Bridge passing them with a flying leap at the last to score by two and a half lengths.
The day got even better for Townend when he won the feature race, the Easter Handicap Hurdle, on the Eric McNamara-trained Questions Answered

Favourite Keats Dream looked sure to win as she moved up smoothly to tackle the leader approaching the last, but she jumped it awkwardly and lost momentum, eventually going down by half a length.
Eddie Power, who rode Keats Dream, had a similar scare in the Mallow Town Summer BBQ Evening July 9th Handicap Hurdle when 11-4 favourite Stony Grey Soil five lengths clear, applied the brakes at the last and had to be rousted along before beating The Sneezer by three lengths.< Special Token was sent off a well-backed 7-4 favourite for the Killetra Mares Maiden Hurdle and didn't let her supporters down, narrowly thwarting a spirited effort by Second Glance
Joe O'Keeffe's charge hit the front with two flights to go, but the eventual runner-up, attempting to make all, battled all the way to the line and there was only a neck in it.
There was plenty of confidence behind Pay The Bounty in the Munster Waste Management Maiden Hurdle and Robert Tyner's 11-10 favourite was clear at the last under Philip Enright before holding Drive On Regardle
