Review ballinrobe 8th Aug
Former Grade One winner Muirhead (5-4fav) regained the winning thread in the Ballinrobe Races 90th Anniversary Hurdle on Ballinrobe's mixed evening card.< Magical Memoir gave everything in a brave bid to make all and was still in front turning for home, but Paul Carberry's mount loomed large approaching the last and was pushed out on the run in for a three & ndash;length success.< Psycho was held in third when falling at the final hurdle.
Mark Enright gave Foildearg (14-1) a fine ride to land the opening Craic On The Track 14th August Handicap.
The 7lb claimer kicked for home three furlongs out on board John Ryan's mare and was strong enough in the finish to repel the chasing pack, led by Kristal Komet with a length and a quarter to spare.< Hisaabaat (9-4) continued his improvement run out a comfortable two-and-a-half length winner of the McHale Engineering Maiden.
The Dermot Weld-trained gelding appeared to have a bit to do to catch Jouster entering the home straight, but the son of Dubawi picked up nicely in the hands of Pat Smullen to score going away.
It was an O'Brien family success in the Burleigh Accountants Handicap as Fairylike (9-2) ran out an easy winner under Joseph O'Brien, who was carrying his mother Anne-Marie's colours on board the filly trained by his father Aidan.
The result was never in doubt after the jockey sent his mount clear with half a mile to run and she eased to a first success, six lengths clear of El Toreros in second.
The Costello McDermott Maiden Hurdle represented the first National Hunt action of the night and the 2m event was won in style by Acapulco Gold as the 8-1 shot cruised past long-time leader Esporao turning for home before pulling four and a half lengths clear of Gordon Elliott's charge at the finish.
The Broderick's Electrical Handicap Hurdle went to Queen Of Cool (16-1), who recorded an impressive two and a half-length verdict over Fantastic Gold
