Even-money favourite Protagonist was a comfortable winner of the Download The BoyleSports App 3-y-o Handicap under Shane Foley.
Formerly with Jamie Osborne, the French-bred gelding was a well-backed winner on his first start for Jessica Harrington at Gowran Park last week.
Raised 13lbs for that victory in future handicaps, he was well-in here under his mandatory 6lbs penalty and travelled best all the way up the home straight.
Shaken up at the furlong pole, he was far from hard pressed to account for Mythologic by a length and three quarters, with Mr Mooj running an encouraging race in third on his handicap bow.
Trainer's daughter and assistant Kate Harrington said: “He did it the way we thought he'd do it. We kind of had to go here after what the handicapper gave him.
“He came out of his race well last week and hopefully there is a bit more improvement in him.
“He'll go for a race in Navan next Friday provided the ground is safe. Shane said he only just got away with that today, he wouldn't want it any quicker.”
“Being gelded over the winter and stepping up in trip has helped him, said Shane Foley.
"We’ve always liked him at home and it’s nice to get a winner for Mr. Buckley (winning owner Michael Buckley).
