Wellforth a tonic for Hutchinson
Caroline Hutchinson's family has endured a tough time this year with the loss of her sister Olive Hutchinson in January and the Co Kildare trainer was quick to praise the work of her staff following the win of her Wellforth in the limerickraces.ie Handicap Hurdle at Limerick today.
Ridden by Andrew Lynch, the gelded son of New Frontier raced in mid-division, before eventually moving through to lead at the final flight, for a three lengths win over Right Choice
Hutchinson later stated "My staff have been brilliant to me following the death of Olive and I would like to thank them so much - I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them."
However, she added "I would have withdrawn Wellforth today if he was in a later race because he likes better ground. However it was loose ground today and we'll aim at another handicap next."
