Virgil Earp lays down the law
The opening Mount Leinster Maiden Hurdle at Wexford this evening went to Virgil Earp a fourth consecutive winner over jumps for trainer Noel Meade.
Ridden by Paul Carberry, the son of Fasliyev was eventually eased down for an easy two and a half lengths win over Luck Pennie
Meade was not present for the win although Carberry did mention “we were a bit worried about the ground beforehand but it was ok and he jumped very well.”
Meade’s last four runners over jumps, Jakros, Original Option, Eirland and Virgil Earp, all won.
