A revelation since joining the Gordon Elliott team, Jungle Prose impressively dismissed her 21-rivals in the Conway Pilling Handicap Hurdle, completing a treble for Elliott and winning rider Jack Kennedy.
Previously trained in the UK and bought for 14,000 pounds at the Tattersalls Ascot Sale in May, the Yeats seven-year-old has now won her last three.
Successful on her second start for current connections at Thurles last month, she followed-up in style at Down Royal and was well-fancied to complete the hat-trick this afternoon, going off the 11/4 favourite.
Always close to the pace, she had to be switched to the outer entering the straight and soon swept to the front, easing clear on the run-in, coming home nine lengths to the good.
.Ballyglass Beauty (10/1), who attempted to make all, ran a fine race in second under Adam Ellis for Liam Cusack, while Tyre Kicker (6/1) and Cher Why Not (14/1) were third and fourth respectively.
"I don't know where we are going to go now but she's going the right way. Jack said the further she went the better she got," Elliott revealed.
"We'll probably have to look at qualifying her for the Pertemps. There aren't too many other roads to go.
"They are a good bunch of local lads (Bull On Syndicate), friends of Robbie Power, and they had Jury Duty before."
STEWARDS REPORTS
S.F. O'Keeffe, rider of Old Soul (FR) trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he thought his mount had gone wrong and pulled up. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer subsequently examined Old Soul and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race.
A. McCurtin, rider of Exciting Oscar trained by Denis Ahern, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered by the faller.
The Stewards reviewed an incident running down the side of the track involving Chosen Diamond ridden by K.M. Donoghue, Tyre Kicker (FR), ridden by L.P. Dempsey, and Dr Val ridden by E. Walsh where it appeared the three got tight and Dr Val rubbed the rail and knocked it down. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
