Off a lengthy break and equipped with a tongue-strap and cheek-pieces for the initial occasion when making his first start for Shane Nolan at Ballinrobe last month, Trazar came on significantly from that ninth placed effort to cause a 33/1 surprise in the Chia Bia 4 Life Handicap Hurdle at Tramore.
Again with the head-gear on, the former Tony Martin runner took over at the second last under Bobby Molloy before going on to defeat The Gnathologist by seven lengths.
Nolan explained: "I have five riding out. That's my second winner (Barnevelder was the first at Downpatrick last September).
"We thought he'd need the run as he blew up the last day and he'd been fifteen months off the track.
"Bobby gave him a great ride.
"Hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on him now." (DM & EM)
